Mission
My initiatives include fostering better access to legal and administrative resources to eliminate homelessness, domestic violence, and food deserts.
As an example, abandoned structures may have the potential to be refurbished and made affordable housing. Vacant lots can be turned into neighborhood gardens and open-air markets for fresh produce.
Aggressive tax collection from absentee landlords or property owners can be initiated through court action. Robust code enforcement efforts will improve the appearance of neighborhoods and help to attract new residents.
Work-study programs in conjunction with local businesses may create opportunities for young people to earn high school credit while gaining employment skills.
