Lorraine's Commitment
Advocating for Pine Bluff's Progress
My platform includes several initiatives designed to foster a stronger, healthier community:
•Improving access to legal and administrative resources to address homelessness, domestic violence, and food insecurity.
•Refurbishing abandoned buildings to create affordable housing opportunities.
•Transforming vacant lots into neighborhood gardens and open-air markets for fresh produce.
•Initiating aggressive tax collection efforts through court action against absentee landlords and property owners.
•Strengthening code enforcement to enhance neighborhood aesthetics and attract new residents.
•Developing work-study programs in partnership with local businesses to provide young people with opportunities to earn high school credit and gain valuable employment skills.
If elected as City Attorney, I will work closely with city and community leaders to develop and implement strategies aimed at eliminating boarded-up and abandoned properties. These neglected structures not only contribute to urban blight but also reduce the revenues necessary for our city’s renewal and for funding programs that embody a City of Progress.
